Downtown on the main street, six miles from Red Lodge Mountain, at the Red Lodge end of the Beartooth Highway. Off the hill or off the pass, you go right past us.

Since 1901

The room does the talking

This building went up in 1901 and the bar has been in it ever since. The back bar is the original. So is the pressed tin ceiling over your head.

Not restored to look old. Just never torn out.

Red Lodge has changed around it for more than a century. The Snag has mostly just stayed put — which is why it turns up in a Montana preservation writeup, and why people who find it tend to come back.
